DEJI INSTALLS ADEYEMI ADETUNLA AS ARIJODI OF AKURE KINGDOM
The Deji of Akure Kingdom His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi CFR Odundun 11 has installed an Austria based Akure indegene, Chief Adeyemi Adetunla as the new Arijodi of Akure Kingdom in a colourful event at the Ojukoto Traditional Event Center of the Deji’s Palace in Akure, the Ondo State Capital.
The installation ceremony witnessed by prominent chiefs, family members of Chief Adeyemi Adetunla (Chief Arijodi), his delectable wife, sons and daughters of Akure home and Diaspora recorded a huge success.
Chief Adeyemi Adetunla the new Arijodi of Akure Kingdom promised his continued unalloyed support for His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi CFR Odundun 11, all the time. He stated that he would not let down the people of the ancient community home and overseas.
Speaking exclusively with Our Correspondent in his palace, Chief Adeyemi Adetunla said he would bring his experience into bear in the task of developing Akure Kingdom.
The Arijodi who is the traditional head of Imuagun Akure appreciated God Almighty for chosen him as the new Arijodi of the ancient Akure City. He averred that,his major focus now is to foster unity and togetherness among the people of the community. He added he would ensure development among his people especially in the area of poverty eradication, scholarship for indegent students and general empowerment.
He equally appreciated the Oladogba family lineage for nominating him among other contenders to become the new Arijodi of Akure Kingdom.
In his words “my track records of achievements, pedigree and phillantropist gestures have equally been considered before my family nominated me” , Arijodi pointed out.
He used the forum to enjoin all contenders to the exalted position to join hands with him in the task of developing Imuagun Akure adding that,as far as he was concerned,no victor nor vanquish as far as his emergence is concerned as the new Arijodi of Akure Kingdom.
He was full of appreciations to the Deji of Akure Kingdom His Imperial Majesty Oba Dr Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi CFR Odundun 11 for deeming it fit to install him as the new Arijodi of Akure.
Arijodi described Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi as a pillar of peace, growth and development.Since he ascended the throne of his forefathers ,he has developed Akure Kingdom more than he met it. His burning desire to develop Akure Kingdom further more is unquenchable, Arigodi declared.
He used the occasion to felicitate with the foremost Yoruba traditional and Chairman Ondo State Council of Traditional Institutions on the occasion of his ninth year anniversary.
Arijodi promised to harness his resources by carrying the youth along in order to move Akure Kingdom forward.
He admonished the government to give back power to the people especially the youth so that Nigeria and Ondo State can develop economically.
He decried high level of our insecurity in Nigeria and urged all tiers of government to redress the. precarious situation.
