We embarked on this initiative with a singular vision: to equip our people with the skills and resources necessary to carve out better futures for themselves and their families. I am proud to say that through your commitment and hard work, we have achieved remarkable milestones.
During the past two weeks, participants have immersed themselves in the art of makeup, gele making, manicure, and pedicure. These skills are not just about aesthetics; they represent avenues of economic independence and self-sufficiency. As we distribute certificates and equipment today, we are not merely handing out tools; we are unlocking doors of opportunity and igniting flames of potential.
Moreover, I am delighted to announce that we have not stopped at skills training alone. With the help of God, we are distributing over 45 POS machines coupled with startup cash, installing hand pump and motorized boreholes in strategic wards, and disbursing cooperative grants totaling over 15 million naira.
Additionally, 500 aged individuals will be enrolled in the Osun Health Insurance Scheme, ensuring access to vital healthcare services.
These initiatives underscore our unwavering commitment to holistic community development. We believe that true empowerment transcends mere rhetoric; it requires tangible investments in people’s lives and livelihoods. By supporting entrepreneurship, improving access to clean water, and enhancing healthcare access, we are laying the groundwork for sustainable change and inclusive growth across Osogbo Local Government.
To all our trainees, I commend you for your dedication and perseverance. Remember, these certificates and equipment symbolize not just your achievements, but your potential to thrive and excel in your chosen endeavors. Seize every opportunity that comes your way, and let your success be a testament to the transformative power of empowerment.
