“All Akoko Youths, we are one, we have been going up and down, to meet our leaders whom we know they are from Akoko, we even wrote an invitation letter to everybody, so that, they can present in the summit and for financial support.
“The reverse is the case, when we got to the office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Kayode Ajulo (SAN), to our surprise, he demanded that, we should go and get CAC before he could attend to us
“We tried as much, to persuade him, that, we are Akoko Youths Forum, we were surprised that only when we have CAC that we can summit an invitation letter in your office, from there, he said, he doesn’t want to listen to us, that, we should go.
“The following day, all executive members held a meeting, there we decided to revisit him in his office, thinking that by the time, he sees our population of 18 members, he may attend to us without CAC. is our father and he is from Akoko too.
“Unbelievable, as we entered his office, this man started chasing us out and said what are you looking for, go away, we tried as much as possible to please him, but he couldn’t listen.
“Despite the way he behaved, we still managed to summit the invitation letter on his table and we said if he likes, he should come and if he doesn’t like it, it is not by force”. He uttered.
He said after leaving his office to their destinations, some of the youths began posting the outcome of the visit to the social medias, such as face book, whatsapp e.t.c so as to go viral on how Akoko Youths were being insulted, embarrassed at the office of the Ondo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice claiming they only wanted to invite him for their proposed event which they tagged “Akoko Youths Forum Summit”.
He however said, the next thing after the invitation was a petition from the Ondo State commissioner of police invited the President of Akoko Youths Forum, Comrade James Akeju, Yayah Bisola and Ade Mighty saying on getting there, the 3 of them were locked up but released on bail after and they were told to report back the following day.
As demanded by the police, the 3 of the youths reported back to the police station where they were later arranged and eventually remanded.
The youths condemned the detention of their youth leader and others as uncalled for and injustice thereby demanded their release without any delay.
Although, the Ondo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Kayode Ajulo (SAN) has denied being behind the remand of the youths.
