AKAPINSA OF IPINSA BECOMES PATRON OF CASOAN DURING ANNUAL CONGRESS

The Akapinsa of Ipinsa in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State,Oba (Dr) Omoniyi Olufunmilayo has been decorated as the life Patron of Chemist and Supermarket Owners’ Association of Nigeria (CASOAN),Ondo State Council during the organization’s annual Congress held in Akure recently.
Speaking during the occasion,the Ondo State President of CASOAN Com.Joshua Ayelehin admonished members to allow peace to continue to reign supreme among them.
He stated that the annual Congress is meant to expose members to identifying fake and adulterated drugs in the society with a view to preventing sale of fake pharmacicual products to end users.
Earlier,the Chairman planning Committee, Comrade Akinsipe has commended members for their cooperation towards celebrating the annual Congress of the organization.
In their various contributions,the NAFDAC representative advised members of CASOAN to endeavor to identify NAFDAC numbers and address of manufacturer of the various drugs in their various shops.
Moreso,the representative of NDLEA Boss in Ondo State urged members not to sell hard drugs adding that NDLEA is a partner in progress with CASOAN.
The Lecturer of the occasion, Pharmacist Lasebikan urged members to register with PSN adding that CASOAN is very essential in the Society,as they cover all the nook and cranny of Ondo State where there is no presence of Pharmacy Shop.
He admonished members to shun sales of fake and adulterated drugs in their various shops adding that,in terms of medical health delivery, they are very close to the society.
He asked them,to watch out for the address and NAFDAC numbers of all drugs they purchased from manufacturers as part of activities geared towards eradicating fake and adulterated drugs in the society.
The occasion witnessed conferment of various categories of Awards to some of the present and past leaders of the organization who have distinguished themselves and contributed in no small measures to the growth of CASOAN in Ondo State.
