The Olojoda-Elect of Oda Community in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Olugbenga Adewole (Ajiluyi Ekun Adegbenro III)has extended his good hands of fellowship to all the constants, that contested with him during Obaship selection process conducted by the Kingmakers of the ancient community, where he emerged as the Olojoda-Elect of Oda Town, in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Oba Olugbenga Adewole admonished them to join hands and ideas with him in the task of developing the Oda Kingdom. He called on all the indigenes of the Community home and Diaspora, to participate actively in order to raise the bar of the development of the serene community.

” All hands must be on deck, with a view to rapidly ensuring that Oda is not lagged behind among several communities in Ondo State”, Oba Olugbenga Adewole declared.

Oba Olugbenga Adewole stated that Oda needs motorable roads, regular electricity supply, tertiary institutions and other social utilities, and promised to work hard with his Council of Chiefs in order to provide the social amenities for the ancient community.

“We are here not to come and sell landed properties, but to build Oda, so that the community can become cynosure of all eyes”, the Olojoda-Elect Oba Olugbenga Adewole emphasized.

The Asiwaju of Oda Community now Oba Olugbenga Adewole has contributed immensely and voluntarily in the past to the development of Oda. All religious bodies, Ogbe High School, the Aged, Widows and Widowers, Market Traders, Youth, etc have benefited from his largesse if the information gathered about him is anything to go by.

According to him, his numerous contributions to the development of Oda Community made the immediate past monarch of the Community Oba Omomo Julius Ajayi to confer upon him with the chieftaincy title of Asiwaju of Oda without paying a dime to the then monarch.

Oba Olugbenga Adewole promised to revamp the annual Odun Alaojo festival, with a view to promoting the cultural heritage of the people of the area.The Odun Alaojo is more or less the traditional Christmas of Oda Community, he pointed out.
