Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke has approved the appointment Of 39 Chairmen And members of the he tribunals for the nine federal constituencies in the he state.

The decision is to quick and easy adjudication of landlords and Tenancy disputes and also to  ensure communal peace and progress in Osun state, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has officially put in place Osun State Rent Tribunal

The inauguration of the Chairmen and members marks the beginning of putting an end to the incessant landlords/tenants imbroglio in the state.

The official inauguration held at the Exco Lounge, Office of the Governor, State Secretariat, Abeere, where the state Governor approved the appointment of 39 Chairmen and Members of the Tribunals for the Nine Federal constituencies in the state.

Adeleke who was represented by the State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Wole Jimi Bada, Esq, stated that their appointments is in accordance with the Residential Accommodation (Rent Control) Law Cap. 144 Laws of Osun, 2003, Section 5(1)(a) and (b).

The inauguration according to Governor Adeleke is basically aimed at enhancing communal peace and dispensation of justice in landlords/tenants related disputes in addition to being an avenue for an amicable resolution of rent related issues that would be guaranteed in all federal constituencies in Osun State.

The Governor congratulated  appointees on their well deserved appointments,just as he implored them to discharge their  responsibilities and  creditably well by being guided by the extant provisions of the Osun State Rent Control and Recovery of Premises Law 2003.

Governor Adeleke also urged them to uphold the principles of professionalism,  integrity ,fairness, accessibility and timelines whenever they are discharging their duties.

In his acceptance speech shortly after the inauguration exercise, Barrister Oluwayemisi Akintajuwa who speaks on behalf of all the Chairmen and Members of the Tribunal appreciated Governor Adeleke for the confidence reponsed in them.

He promised,on behalf of his colleagues, to uphold the rule of operation in addition to discharging their responsibilities without fear or favour, ill will or affection.
