ANNUAL MASQUERADE FESTIVAL KICK OFF AT ODE COMMUNITY AS OBA AJAGUNGBADE SAYS THE FESTIVAL IS MEANT TO USHER IN PEACE AND PROGRESS OF THE KINGDOM

The annual Masquerade festival of Ode Community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State has kicked off amidst pomp and thrills.
The Masquerade festival is meant to usher in peace and progress of the Ode Community and blessings for the Indigenes and residents of the Kingdom.
Earlier in the day,the very important Yoruba traditional ruler was at the residence of Aro Ode in Akure with his fashion diva Oloris, Senior High Chiefs,Erelu and Iyalojas, variety of masquerades, drummers etc,where the festival commenced officially with a Band on ground,to entertain Kabiyesi and his Guests.
Speaking exclusively with Today’s News International Magazine, His Royal Majesty Oba Boboye the Ajagungbade 1 of Ode Community,who was in a state of ecstasy during the occasion, described the festival as very unique in the anal of history of the serene Community.
He stated that the festival will herald all other festivals that will be celebrated in Ode this year.
In his words “the festival will bring blessings, fruitfulness, breakthroughs,successes and good luck to the good people of the Community.
He appealed to the people to celebrate the festival in peace and harmony adding that as the Monarch of the ancient community,he will not tolerate any form of chaos or act capable of threatening security in the area.
