The President of Egbe-Omo Ilara-Mokin world-wide Surveyor Henry Adegbenro has averred that the primary purpose of Egbe-Omo Ilara-Mokin (a social cultural group) is to develop the serene community from time to time.
He made the disclosure while feiding questions from journalists in his office yesterday.
Surveyor Henry Adegbenro lauded Oba Aderemi Adefehinti the Alara of Ilara-Mokin for his straightforwardness, honesty as well as not being autocratic in decision taking as well as administering the Community.
He described the one of the foremost Yoruba traditional rulers as easy going, sincere and godly traditional ruler,whose reign has brought rapidly and unprecedented development to Ilara-Mokin D.C,the President explained.
The President,a Canada trained Surveyor equally appreciated the Aare Atayese of Ilara-Mokin Chief Adeniyan Michael Ojo (ELIZADE)
for establishing a world-class University in the Community as well as an International Golf Course.
“We shall always be grateful to him for all his achievements not only in Ilara-Mokin but across the Globe.The people of Ilara-Mokin are very thankful to Almighty God, for making him one of the prominent sons of the town “,he pointed out.
While appreciating all the sons and daughters of the Community home and Diaspora for their various contributions to the development of the town, he admonished them to make this year Ilara-Mokin Day,one of the best by contributing handsomely to the growth and development of their home, staying that North or South, East and West, home is the best.
Meanwhile,the Survey will on 26th October 2025 be honored with an award of ICON OF HUMANITARIAN SERVICES by a widely read newsmedium Today’s News International Magazine (Print and Online).
The occasion is slated to hold on Sunday 26th October at ICAN HOUSE besides Government House Grounds Akure, Ondo State.
