ONDO NDLEA COMMANDER SET TO BAG MEDIA AWARD
The Ondo State Commander of National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency N.D Sallah will on Saturday 28th of March,2026 be conferred with a prestigious media award of AMBASSADOR OF PEACE AND SECURITY,as part of activities marking the 25th Extra Anniversary of Today’s News International Magazine (prints and online)
According to a Press Release made available to Journalists in Ondo State,the epoch making ceremony shall be held at ICAN HOUSE BESIDES GOVERNMENT HOUSE GROUNDS AKURE ONDO STATE by 2 00pm, British Time.
The organizers of the event stated that since the Commander was transferred to Ondo State,he has been upholding the core values of the Agency, which includes; Integrity, Dedication, Respect, Transparency, Professionalism, Teamwork as well as zero tolerance for Corruption.
Commander Sallah has secured several Forest in Ondo State from some unsrcupulous individuals who are hell-bent at planting Cannabis while those that were arrested, were prosecuted in the Law Court as well as drug addicts that needed rehabilitation, were helped out.
According to the Press Release,the Honour is meant to gear up the NDLEA COMMANDER never to relent on his oar at ensuring that Ondo State is free from Cannabis plantations and drug addiction that is very prevalent among the youth.
Among other Honourees being expected in the occasion includes; Dr.Ademola Ebeloku Iyanda who is the Rector Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji Ondo State, Ondo State Chairman Association of Private Practicing Surveyors of Nigeria APPSN, South West Chairman of Farmers Association of Nigeria King Solomon Akinwole, Senior High Chief Ayodele Oluyide who is the Ojomu of Akure Kingdom,Ondo State Chairman MHWUN, Ondo State Chairman AWDROP,Prince ADOLAJ,Ooye of Araromi Oba Bankole Abiodun Fatoyinbo, Prince Michael Temitope, Alhaji Hidja Mohammed, Captains’ of Industries, Permanent Secretaries,Engr.Kenneth Chukwudi etc.
During the occasion, there will be a Lecture, Cultural Display, Presentation of Awards, Unveiling of Today’s News International Magazine (prints and online)Special Edition to celebrate the day.
