The annual Egugun Festival has been held at Ode Community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State amidst pomp and peagantry as dignatories from all works of life trouped out en-masse to witness the annual cultural festival.

Traditional masquerades dressed in their beautiful rigelia displayed various types of artiseries , offered prayers, blessed Ode Community as well as paid homage to Oba Boboye Adewale Ajagungbade 1,of Ode Community.

The occasion was held under tight security at Ajagungbade’s Palace in Ode Community where the Oba along his traditional Chiefs,Oloris and the good people of Ode Community expressed their satisfaction with the performance of the Egunguns, especially for their peaceful conduct and entertainment prowess.

His Royal Highnes Oba Ajagungbade 1 of Ode Community who was in a state of euphoria during the occasion appreciated all and sundry that graced the occasion with him.

He eke out time with his frontline Chiefs,Oloris led by Eyesorun, Erelu,Iyaloja,Olokun,Yeyeoge,etc to dance round the ancient community, where he offered prayers, blessings for the people as well as appeased to the gods and goddesses of the serene Community.

Speaking to Journalists during the occasion,Oba Ajagungbade 1 averred that the celebration of the festival will herald all other subsequent festivals in the community.

As the festival will equally open the door of opportunities, successes and favour to the people, the monarch added.
