ARABA CAUTIOUS AGAINST DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTIES DURING PROTEST, SAYS ODUN-IWO IS MEANT FOR BLESSINGS

The Araba of Ikale land, High Chief Ifatunmise Temenun has cautioned Endbad Government Protesters against destruction of life and prosperities as they have planned to protest from August 1st 2024.

He admonished them to shun arson, killings, looting, robbery and any act capable of truncating democracy in Nigeria.

Temenun made the disclosure while fielding questions from journalists in Ikale land yesterday during the annual celebration of Odun-Iwo in the ancient community.

In his words “there is nothing sinister for people to make their grievances known to the government but it should be through peaceful means, protesters should not allow harbingers of violence to hijack their peaceful protests”, Araba of Ikaleland declared.

He however admonished all tiers of government to listen and tackle all the problems being faced by ordinary Nigerians pointing out that the removal of petroleum subsidy by the Federal Government has caused untold hardship in their lives and urged the government to redress the situation.

Speaking on the significance of the Annual Odun-Iwo in Ikale land, the High Chief Araba stated that, the festival is meant to bless sons and daughters of Ikaleland at home and Diaspora, the people of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.

High Chief Ifatunmise Temenun, enjoined the duo of Governorship Candidates of APC and PDP who are from the Southern part of Ondo State not to make the November 2024 governorship election in Ondo State a do or die affairs pointing out that, looser of the election must adopt spirit of sportsmanship.
