Asiwaju of Osogboland, Alhaji Ajadi Badmus, is dead.
A source who requested anonymity informed our correspondent that Alhaji Badmus died in the early hours of Sunday in Osogbo at the age of 83.
The late Ajadi was from the Adekilekun dynasty in the Isale-Osun area of Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
He was the elder brother of popular Osun businessman and Chairman of TUNS FARM and Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Khamis Olatunde Badmus.
At the time of filing this report, details of his death and burial had not been made available by his family.
However the Secretary to the Osun State Government, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye, has expressed shock over the passing of Alhaji Ajadi Adekilekun Badmus, late Asiwaju of Osogbo.
In his condolence message, Igbalaye described Chief Ajadi as a guiding star, illuminating the path of peace, unity, and progress for the people of Osogbo.
He reflected on Chief Ajadi’s passion for uplifting the needy and his relentless pursuit of community development, underscoring his role as a true patriot devoted not only to his people but to humanity at large.
The SSG emphasized Chief Ajadi’s significant contributions to good governance and his pivotal role in the Imole movement, which aimed at fostering a brighter future for Osun State.
